Meg Christie, LCSW (she/her) is a performer, a teaching artist, and a therapist. The art and practice of improvisation is integrated into every aspect of her life. She was a founding member and later co-director of Portland Playback Theatre. After working in community mental health for about 10 years, she started a small private practice in 2003, serving all ages and incorporating various expressive modalities including dramatic play, mindfulness and improvisation. She has been teaching improv to all ages, from preschool to adults in a variety of settings such as schools, art studios, outdoors, seminary, really anywhere there are people who want to play. Her goal in all of her adventures is to reduce fear of judgement, and to support growth, healing and transformation.
